About me
Hi, I’m Meltem, Meltem Birogul actually — a marketer, amateur researcher, and full-time overthinker of how people and technology interact. I’ve spent over five years working in marketing, finished two master’s degrees, and I’m now waiting for a university to finally let me start a PhD — while having the occasional breakdown about it in my office (which you might read about here).
I’m not exactly a writer, but I love ideas — especially the ones that make you pause mid-scroll. Here you’ll find a mix of things: thoughts on AI and marketing & consumer behaviour, notes on books I’ve loved, and little pieces of life that don’t fit anywhere else.
I once tried finance (should have stayed there — these days it looks so cool on Instagram), but somehow ended up here, sharing my opinions for reasons I still can’t quite explain.
This site is a mix of everything I love:
- Ideas, where I explore technology, creativity, and culture.
- The Negroni Book Club, my ongoing collection of literary notes and reflections.
- Research, where I unpack my academic work in a more human tone.
If you’re here, I hope you find something that makes you think — or at least makes you pause for a moment before you scroll again.
